Looking to Alleviate Cramps, Cellulite, Fine Lines and Wrinkles? Add These Essential Oils to Your Beauty Regimen

What would you say if I told you that many of our issues can be relieved with just a whiff of an essential oil? I am speaking to you, ladies. From cramps to pregnancy to stubborn cellulite, all can be alleviated with a pure, therapeutic essential oil.

Many oils on the market have added ingredients and/or synthetic additives that cause the oil to lack ‘life force’, which decreases the benefits of pure essential oils. Many oils contain synthetic chemicals and, although they may smell similar to pure essential oils, our bodies can tell the difference and not respond to them. This might be the reason that so many do not believe in the healing powers that pure oils give to our bodies, minds and emotions. This life force can only be found in pure living things.

So, let’s get some life force into our bodies by using therapeutic, pure essential oils.

Studies show that cramps have been decreased from 82 percent to 51 percent after using eucalyptus and lavender oil before cramps are expected. The combination of clary sage and geranium have been shown to act as a great anti-spasmodic (place 20 drops in 2 tablespoons of carrier oil and massage into the lower abdominal area for 10 minutes).

Oils during pregnancy are not recommended until the second or third trimester. Combine a few drops of lavender and vitamin E oils into your carrier oil and massage gently onto the stomach to support your growing belly. Add a kit of clary sage, frankincense, lavender, Roman chamomile and Mandarin oils to your hospital bag checklist. These oils disperse in the air and help normalize childbirth and increase the satisfaction for the mother, making for an easier, more relaxed experience for both mother and child. Please avoid these essential oils during pregnancy: peppermint, clary sage, cedarwood, marjoram, oregano, rosemary, sage, thyme and wintergreen.

Skin Health

Essential oils help reduce cellulite and tone and ease the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. A combination of rosemary (4 drops), pine (4 drops), cinnamon (3 drops), thyme (2 drops) and ginger (5 drops) added to 4 teaspoons of a carrier oil will help smooth dimply and bumpy skin (if worked deeply into the skin area). Other essential oils that promote skin health include:

Jojoba or coconut oils: Help hydrate the skin.

Lemongrass oil: Helps purify the skin.

Geranium oil: Acts as a healthy toner and eases the appearance of fine lines.

Frankincense or patchouli oils: Soothe the skin and provide healthy cellular support.

For angry skin, combine patchouli (2 drops), tea tree (3 drops), lavender (3 drops), geranium (1 drop) and 1-2 tablespoons of colloidal silver gel and lightly smooth into your skin for relief.

Always remember to use pure essential, organic and wild harvested oils. And, if using essential oils on the skin, add a carrier oil or cream to help the skin absorb the oils more easily.
